  • The renter agrees to pay the published hourly wet rate based on Hobbs time.
  • A minimum daily charge may apply for extended overnight or multi-day rentals.
  • All fuel receipts from away-from-base refueling must be uploaded or submitted for reimbursement within 24 hours.

4. Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation may result in a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows may be charged for the full scheduled block time.
  • Weather-related cancellations will not incur a fee if communicated in advance.

5. Aircraft Use and Limitations

The renter agrees:

  • To operate the aircraft only within the United States unless prior written authorization is given.
  • To use FAA-approved airports and hard-surface runways unless authorized for grass or private strips.
  • Aerobatic maneuvers, formation flying, low-level operations, and intentional spins are strictly prohibited.
  • To not carry passengers or cargo for hire or compensation.
  • To not sublease or loan the aircraft to any other individual or entity.
  • To maintain the highest standard of airmanship and comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

6. Preflight and Postflight Responsibilities

  • The renter must perform a complete preflight inspection before every flight and report any discrepancy immediately.
  • The aircraft must be returned in the same clean and airworthy condition in which it was received.
  • Postflight, ensure fuel tanks are topped off, avionics are off, control lock installed, doors and windows secured, and aircraft parked in designated location.

7. Damage, Incident, and Liability

  • The renter is financially responsible for any and all damages occurring during the rental period, regardless of fault, including but not limited to prop strikes, hard landings, over-speeding, or negligence.
  • SkyHours Aviation does not currently provide renter’s insurance coverage. Renters are strongly encouraged to maintain a personal non-owned aircraft insurance policy.
  • In the event of an accident or incident, renter must:
    • Notify SkyHours Aviation immediately.
    • Not move the aircraft unless necessary for safety.
    • Obtain names, contact info, and registration numbers of all involved parties and witnesses.
    • Cooperate fully with FAA, NTSB, and insurance investigations.

8. Maintenance and Malfunctions

  • N20392 is rented wet (fuel included) based on Hobbs time.
  • Oil levels must be maintained between 5.5 and 6 quarts. Use only approved oil types.

10. Indemnification and Hold Harmless

The renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SkyHours Aviation, its owners, agents, and affiliates from all claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from the operation or use of the aircraft during the rental period.
